Big Brother Big Sister is a legitimate charitable organization, and I have donated for pick up to them many times over the past 10 years. They will pick up goods from your front yard on a specific date that you schedule with them. They don't come in the house, and they will usually tell you what kind of goods they need when they call, so if you have stuff it can be convenient to get it picked up.
That being said, I am blocking their number because (a) they call repeatedly, the phone rings once and then they hang up (I suspect a crappy robo-dialer behind that), and I find it annoying; and (b) the last time they picked up at my house, they dropped and smashed a big box of glassware all over my front yard. They didn't pick up the mess, and when I called to complain, they told me it was my fault because I must have packaged it improperly. Now I choose to donate to Salvation Army, where I can drop off the stuff as needed, and no one trashes my lawn.
Ok, Maybe they are a good Charity. HOW DO YOU GET THEM TO STOP CALLING ??? I TOLD THEM MULTIPLE TIMES!!! They will NEVER get a penny from me for these harassing Calls!!! Management should be fined and fired!!
Yeah! They tell you to put the stuff in boxes an leave it by the road side an when the truck comes to pick it up the guys go through the box/boxes and if there's anything they don't want they throw it on the ground an take the stuff they do want ! I picked up the mess they left behind an took it to The Salvation Army thrift store in my town an they excepted the clothes with no problem!! I don't answer calls from BB-BS anymore!! Besides the # came up where the name should be on the Caller ID also where the # belongs!
