I've been told by a reliable source that when you push whatever number they say will stop the calls you are ONLY telling them that the number they called is a working phone number. It does not stop the calls.
There is absolutely no reason to call the scammers as they have no intention of taking anyone off any list as they do not care to begin with. It gives them an excuse to keep calling. DO NOT answer the calls or call their [***] number. Report them to the FTC.
I have been getting calls from people asking if someone from my company called them. My direct phone number is very similar to the 774-907-9298; however I am from the 757 area code. I called the 774-907-9298 and got the same response as everyone else. Can the phone company intervene?
