I've been told by a reliable source that when you push whatever number they say will stop the calls you are ONLY telling them that the number they called is a working phone number. It does not stop the calls.
got this stupid call and no one answer after I said hello a few times. This person has so much free time and don't want to look for a better thing to do.
I just received a called from 1-774-907-9298 and on my caller ID it said it was from Diabetic Supply company. I just picked up the phone and then hung up. When I called the number back, a pre-recorded message said if I would like to be put on the Do Not Call List to press 1, so I did and it said to allow 24 to 48 hours to be removed.
They call here everyday. Yesterday I counted 8 times.......up to after 8:00p.m.
I answered only twice in the months they have been calling, one time said hello and the line went dead.
Last night I answered but didn't say anything....line went dead.
I don't understand what good it is for them to call and try to scam if they don't say anything. Unless that call counts as money to a telemarketer.
