Do NOT deal with debt collectors over the phone! Make them send you bills in the mail with proper documentation, then confirm the debt with the original debtor, NOT the collection agency. This company is sketchy as heck in their business practices. I highly recommend using a call blocker to stop the calls, reporting them via FDCA online forms, then getting a copy of your credit report to make sure no false debts are being reported.
If they continue calling the company or any others at work they may be sued for harrassment as well as slander they are not allowed to call your place of business
Got a call from Berlin-Wheeler from a (James Ross) claiming I owed a bill, and it was for my address . Tried to explain to him if I owed the bill the utility company would have shut off the service. Mr. Ross tried to claim he had no invoice number, account number , only a name and address for a 200.00 plus bill he was trying to get me to pay .He then went on to claim it would take a week to verify the information I wanted him to provide.
Called utility company to verify they had nothing on it , no bill owed by me and Berlin-Wheeler claimed to the utility company they they never called to get bill collected9have proof on cell phone of call) so now they were back peddling" after they claimed the account number, invoice, was going to take a week to get all of sudden they have it in their file! after getting utility company involved. The address was another city in southwest part of state and not mine , B.W. collections where logic goes to die!
People these people go by law office names to try and scare you. A legit company can't threaten you with any type of law suit over the phone it has to be hand written sent in a letter stamped and sealed and notarized !!! They are liars if there is a number that gives you busy signals on call back it's a spammer. And if it's legit it's old debt you don't have to pay!!!! These are bottom feeders!!! If it's a legit company they can't call you with voice prompt on a call it's illegal. Spammers do that and when they call from multiple numbers thats a clue people. Never answer your phone. Never ask any questions. Never call back the number. Never ever for any reason acknowledge you know whom ever they ask for ever !!!!!!! Tell them if you do answer the phone I am giving you 1 warning and I am recording this message if you do not stop calling me I will sue you for every violation of $1000 per call. And if you call me from another number I will have it trace back to the caller if it's you I will file another suit for emotional distress!!! They will never call back again if you do get a lawyer and you get paid!!! Simple as that. And that's if they are a real company and you answer the phone. If scammers then talking to them will never work LOL!!! Spammers just put call blocking on your phone people these idiots don't stop unless you never answer are they get dial tone from call blocker hanging up are sending straight to voicemail LOL!! I love to see their faces when the phone picks up automatically and hangs up on them. They call right back with another number and the same thing LOL!! ROFL!! At them idiots I get a kick out of it. It must be very sad and horrible to try and call people and can't get threw LOL!!! Get a job thieves!!!
