There is no 100 phone number prefix ANYWHERE in the U.S. All number prefixes start in the 200s. I just listened while my outgoing message Started to play, and they hung up the moment it started playing. Not the first time they've called, won't be the last. This particular group of Mumbai Mafia aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer!
How naive can you be? Where have you been for the last two decades, were you asleep or in a coma? Would you also open your door to any stranger who knocks and tells you to let him in??? I'm actually angry with you for putting yourself in jeopardy! These phone calls are just as dangerous, if not moreso. At least you caught on, albeit a little too late. If you feel your identity might be jeopardized because of your actions, contact your banks, Equifax/Transunion/Experian, credit card companies, etc. and ask them to flag your accounts to protect yourself. And please, take more care with your safety!
Just got the call knowing it was a scam call. I answered "Madison County Criminal Justice Department, Officer Dudley", I heard "ah, hum, oh". Since I been answering these scam calls this way it has reduced receiving about 17 calls a day to an average of 2 a week. I know we can't stop these vulture calls but answering this way has helped. It's like trying to feed an alligator with a spoon.
Got call crom 786 121-8145. Said his name was Jason Stewart... with Indian accent. He was updating my Medicare and would I please confirm my address at _ _ I interrupted him and said NO I don't give out information to people who call me, and hung up! Looked at my clock and it was 7:45 am....can't even scam at a decent hour. haha
