Received call from Carolyn Armstrong 786-245-8990 for a Kendrick Hardy with Case number 2014-12188. Called number and complaint that this person is unknown. I was told my number will be removed from their list. I wish these people would stop the scam.
I have received a call from carol Armstrong this number and they left a message saying that I have been served papers and can resolve this outside if court. Left me a number to call back with a case number. Calling attorneys general office to have this investigated.
It was an animated called to my job stating that I was officially served with a court order providing a case number, but it was not a live person who made the call. I thought it was illegal to call your work and the court order came in mail or that they were served by sheriff. My nephew who is a sheriff look up the case number, and he told me there is nothing on the system for me. I will get the proper authorities involved to investigate this scan.
A lady by the name of Kleigh Braufman (according to the caller ID because she wouldn't give a name of course) called my work from the number 786-245-8990 and said she was from "Klein & Associates". I asked her "associated with who or what" ?? She tried to act all "official" and what not; said she got my number from an old employer (he's a jerk so I'm not surprised at all about that either).
She started her little scripted speech about "pending police action" and I stopped her in her tracks. I know how this scam works.
In MD, even if I DID have an outstanding payday loan (which I do NOT), it's illegal for her or anyone else to make a collection call to try and make a recovery.
I interrupted her little speech and told her that she was violating MD law and she asks "how". I told her "you know how and if you don't, look it up". I then told her to never contact me again and she said "see you in court". I replied, that's BS and you know it, then she hung up on me mid sentence.
I was irritated and called back. Someone actually answered. It was some guy who I told to make sure they never contact me again. I reminded him that if the cops had a warrant for my arrest, they don't need some out of state scam artist to call and tell me they're on the way. He started some more BS and I told him to save it for someone who gives a s**t. He hung up on me as well.
I'm thinking about calling them 4 more times and giving them hell. Any more than that is harassment.
But, it'll be fun.
Don't pay any attention to these scammers. They're worthless two bit punks who need real jobs.
These totally illegal idiots just don't get it do they - the illegal calls they make are going to stop - I have contacted my States Attorney Generals office, and the FBI Extortion division and filed reports for both. So to you scum bags, I have reported every stupid phone number you have called from, all my voice mails go to text and I have also sent those copies with my filings - you are so illegal that when we sue you it will be one sweet day. Hope you realize that in a class action law suit we can sue you for 1% of your net worth up to $500,000.00 and according to our States Attorney Generals office, there have been several complaints filed for the mass bogus phone numbers you use to call victims - but funny you always have them call the same # 786-245-8990 with your bogus so called Case #'s - Beware Carolyn Armstrong and associates - the [***] is about to hit!
People wake up, these people are what they call Zombie Collection Agency's (which legally they are not) but they buy 3rd party debt/or made up debt and try to scare you into paying - DO NOT - first of all know your States FDCPA - your legal rights as a consumer, your states Statute of Limitations and what makes this illegal ~ with that knowledge you can put these people in jail and actually sue them....... There are several articles concerning the consistent scams that continue to plague hundreds of thousand consumers ~ WE MUST TAKE A STAND ~ even if you think you are a broken record, report, keep track of every phone call, date time, voice mail, and if your voice mail converts to text - print them off - They can not call friends, family etc and give them any information pertaining to their illegal information - the case numbers they give you are bogus, they can not threaten to serve you papers at you place of residence or employment, they can not threaten you in anyway ~ if they were a "Legal" collection company, you would of been served by your County Court/Sherriff and sent a legal letter via "Certified Mail" if it was truly a valid debt collection...... We as consumes need to start scaring the crap out of these criminals!
