Claimed to be Dept. Of US Treasury, said i had taxes I didn't pay do to incorrect filing. Tried to reach me and there was a pending warrant out for my arrest. If I hung up or disrupted the call it would be consideted non compliant and I would be taken into custody meanwhile I received repeated calls from 911, I amswer and they say an officer will be at my home in 45 mins. It was unbelievable, I also reported this to police
2 calls for my daughter on my phone both from 786-259-0001 these 2 calls were less than 2 minutes apart. I see when checking this number there are many complaints against them. Why don't our government do something about this scam. We are on do not call list.
I asked him how am I to know this is not a scam. He asked for the last 4 digits of my ss#. He said ok then we are going to start the legal action. Total BS.
I have received numerous calls from this number. One person left the name of Mark Chomsky. Others simply said they were calling from dept of treasury or irs. Calls were for various relatives with same last name.
