I got a call from a David Williams from Dispute Resolution Center asking about a legal matter. His number is (786) 275-5073. There was a lot of background noises, and he did not speak English very well. When I asked him if it was a scam, he replied, "No, you are a scam." I informed him, "You are scam. I am going to report you to the authorities. Okay, bye." I hung up. I wish the United States had way to stop these types of scams and protect people.
I keep getting calls from this number. It shows up on my caller ID as 786786. I tried to talk to them to see who they were but it's as though they dont hear me and keep on talking. So when they called back I answered as the local police dept. and they hung up. So you know its a scam.
My daughter also is being harassed by the same people. We keep getting the same run around. No one speaks clear English so you can't understand them, and you can't seem to get any answers. Our caller I.d. also comes up 786786. The one time we talked them out of a number to call the supposed company we owed, it wasn't' even a real working number! And the references on our supposed application weren't even people we have ever heard of. These people some how have a lot of my daughters personal info., including her ssn. These people are nuts. I plan on getting to the bottom of this mess. These people are crooked scam artist preying on people.
They call to say I am in trouble with money laundering, etc. They have the last four digits of my social security, which is just horrible. The person gave me his name and number, but no address. He couldn't spell the name of the company.
I told him to stop calling and eventually hung up on him. He called back 5 times in a row and left two messages. They have been calling me on and off for months. There is a lot of background noise and everyone who has called has extremely thick accents, so it is difficult to even understand what they are saying.
The number shows up for me as 786 786 as well, but I just labeled it "Do Not Answer - Scam" in my phone.
Call asking for my husband. I advised he was at work. In very broken English, caller said it was urgent that I have him call Neil Johnson at 786-275-5073. I repeated the number. He pretended that he didn't hear me. I asked what this was in regards to. He pretended that he didn't hear me. I advised that I wasn't giving my husband the message. Again pretended that he didn't hear me. He responded that my husband must call about his dispute resolution.
They have called and called me about some debt that they can't send me paperwork for.
I called them and started asking questions. They hung up on me. When I called back they didn't answer, but hung up the phone. I had my husband call as "my attorney", they hung up on him as well. I am not sure how they got my information, but it is scary that someone can have that much information on you. I am looking into reporting this as identity theft and pressing charges through our local police department.
