I just got the same call, and was told the same thing word for word. I also called the FBI after looking them up on-line and was also told the same as you. Wish there was some way we could stop people like this. They need to be locked up themselves. The person I talked to got mad when I would not offer to pay the loan back, and when I would ask for more information about my case that he supposedly had on me he would not give me anything to prove that he was looking for me. So big scam, to bad that they do end up getting a way with it most of the time.
When I called back I got a recording saying you have been transferred to voicemail please leave a message. Since this company does not identify themselves I left a message telling them to identify themselves.
I received several calls from this number. They claimed to be from IC3 (Internet Crime Complaint Center) and that there was a warrant being issued for me based on fraud to a loaning company and said that I needed to pay right then or have the warrant issued.
I researched IC3 and found that they are a corroborative effort with the FBI based out of West Virgina. The number that called was from Miami Florida. So I called the local FBI office and inquired about the call and warrant. I was told that IC3 would never call and that failure to pay a loan is not fraud but a credit issue and a warrant would never be issued. They had me file a complaint with IC3 due to the call being a scam.
Watch out for them.

I received a call from this number - and a dude was telling me that a police would come and arrest me on Monday - I started laughing and asked why - he stated that I had committed an internet crime - i asked well what type of crime did I commit - all he could say was check fraud - I lit into him - I told him that I don't cash checks - and if I had done so my bank would have alerted me and that they didn't need a third party to tell me that i was being arrested for check fraud - I bet they get over on the elderly - the cops need to shut them down - they are the ones committing a crime.
Just got the same call from those A-holes....Reported to fraud center at Police Station... Said exactly what others were told. Spoke poor english... Sounded foreign for sure. Would love to get my hands on them...First when I called they wouldn't explain who they were and yelled "don't ever call here again!!!" Then I redialed and told them they were the ones who called me and I demanded to know who they were and what their scan was about. Told the idiots I was calling the police which I just did. They hung up...
