I called back and he asked what number the message was left on, of course I challenged in return questioned who he was, his name and why the call. His reply was "for your tax problems". I stated I have no tax problems. I got hung up on. Imagine that.... In the background of what sounded like an empty room, you can hear one other male speaking, which leads me to believe they are without a doubt they are preying upon elderly or those who actually would believe them. Wish I could post this in every Florida town on a huge billboard. BEWARE ITS INCOME TAX TIME... With the above scammers ph#"

Report the Calls to the real IRS here:
•report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484.
•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
I had the same thing done to me earlier today this guy claiming to be from the IRS investigation Department looking to lock me up for taxes when I called the number back he keep hanging up on me its a SCAM be careful
Here is the message I got today in CA from FL:
“Is extremely time sensitive. My name is officer Eric Forster and hotline to my division is 786-292-3123. I repeat my number is 786-292-3123. Now don't try to disregard this message and do return the call. If you don't return the call and if I don't hear from your attorney either then the only thing I can do what's. I wish you a good luck as situation badly in falls on you. So give me a call back as soon as you get this message. Thank you.”
