I received a call from this number today saying they have a formal complaint that needs to be delivered to my residence or place of employment and to call the following number for more information: 800-340-5219.
I keep getting calls from this number because they're looking for the previous person who had my cellphone number. They say that it's regarding a formal complaint and that they're going to deliver important legal documents to my home or place of employment.
This is a scam! I received the same call two months ago from a Texas number. The lady said her name was Amy O'Neil with accu-file......said the same thing about papers being served. Funny how I got the same voicemail today from Amy O'Neil only now she's in Florida? And it's even more funny that her voice has seemed to have completely changed! Don't trust this person/people and don't call them back!
If anyone wants to google the Texas number it's 972-427-4339. There are tons of people that have reported this one and it's the same message. I hope this helps!
Former debt collector I recognized the message they're using it's illegal just scare tactics to get ppl to pay money most likely for a delinquent account that's reached its statue of limitations do not deal with them. last month they called from the Texas number until they received too many complaints and changed it to a Florida number this too is illegal it's called spoofing. Also third party disclosure without even identifying the party they're looking for also illegal. Will be reporting to FDCPA and BBB
Oh goodness, I just got the call today and was told I was going to be going to Civil Court if I did not pay a past bill from Sprint. I haven't had Spring in over 10 years! I call Sprint and they say I do not have a past due amount! Glad I did not give any information out to these people. How scary that they knew my last 4 of my social!!!
