just got the same call and google the number thanks for the info. minor heart attack and realized after reading i know the irs does not call they send letters
If you've given ANY information or done anything they conned you into, you may be. In that case notify your bank or credit card immediately. If you've talked to no one or done nothing other than call, the worst could be a mean charge on your phone bill. Do not follow these crooks instructions unless you've received valid proof of debt, which they'll likely claim they sent. Disregard these messages if you take them at all.
I love this caller. This has got to be the stupidest, and funniest, scam in history. Every time they call and leave their stupid message about a pending lawsuit filed by the IRS against me, I laugh my [***] off. They have been calling me for a couple of years now, usually between January and April. This dumbass caller provides me with a great service ... a reminder that it's time to file my tax return! HA HA HA.
