Have been receiving daily calls from this number. Finally answered second call today. Heavily accented male voice offering to help fix my computer. I told him I didn't have a computer and to stop calling. Then I hung up.
Guy (Thick accent) calls and says that he's calling on behalf of my internet service provider, and that he's going to shut off my internet because we downloaded a virus. He is concerned that all of our information will get out. I asked which internet provider he was calling from, but he couldn't give me the name. I told him that my internet provider would be calling, and that we haven't downloaded anything because we have great protection on all our devices. He said my computer was infected, yeah right... I called him a liar, in which he told me to have a nice day and hung up on me. Tried calling the number back, doesn't even ring. Like the number is just used once or something...
Original call showed Miami FL. A call from ITEK, Microsoft teck support, I think, a company that insures Microsoft windows computers works correctly. A lady said I paid for a policy when I purchased windows and even showed where my numbers were and read them to me to confirm. Both my computers have same numbers with different systems. Anyway, she told me where to see a log of problems and errors, that by the way have been fixed, and said "she" needed to access another part of my system to repair these. After 15 or 20 min I, like Bill, got board and said I needed to leave. Problem is, NOW I HAVE RECIEVED CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER LIKE 10 TIMES TODAY... I might have messed up, dumb old man that I am...lol
