Since this is very likely a scammer who is calling, pressing ANYthing on your phone will most likely do the opposite of what you say. Doing so validates your phone number as "live" and available to be sold to or shared with other scammers.
Don't trust anyone who cold calls you. How do you know who you're talking to? Would you give a stranger on the street any information? Most likely not, and certainly not a donation to an alleged cause.
Looks like I got caught up in this too- Well, I read on another posting to call them back press 9 and then 1 and that will "unsubscribe you". No one answered the phone when I called the # back but I did enter the 9 and 1 to "unsubscribe". - Like everyone else I too think this is a SCAM!
And, using the fight for breast cancer- how low can some people go!
I finally got sick of all the bogus calls and disconnected the answering machine. If the phone rings and i dont know the number, i just yell into the phone "lose my number" and hang up.
