Who called from 7867385525

Someone calling regarding a "legal matter" representing the IRS ("Officer Smith"). When I stated I found his call sad, unethical and illegal; he came back with some extremely vulgar comments and started to laugh. Clearly a scam. I would think this would be a Federal Offense (representing the IRS as he claimed).

I received this call before 8:00 am today from this unknown number. A message was left for me to call the number back regarding an important legal issue. Can you say SCAM?

There is a widespread IRS (or CRA) or "tax scam" being  practiced by scammers on both USA and Canadian residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

Just got an urgent message to call back regarding legal issue. Of course it is a scam. I usually try to pick up and see where it goes, drag the conversation for as long as possible so that they have less time to mess with other people.

Received two calls today starting at 7:04am.  Said legal issue and I needed to call right away.  I deleted the messages
