This number had called me said that I have paid my taxes and it's my own money given back to me from the government. I didn't want to give him my bank info (he asked for a debit or credit card). He said a green dot card from Wal-Mart would work. It just needs $4.00 on it...he gave me the vibe of a sales person...I'm gonna go with my gut instincts and say this is a scam. to bad i could use the 4000.00 right now...lol... i feel bad for the poeple who fall for this
Automated call from a from a "federal agent" Went on to say that this would be their "last" call before they would charge you with a "federal criminal offense". Didn't give any call back number other than this number here to speak with a "federal agent".
O.K. now for life's reality ... First the Federal Government will not call you like this ... This is either a collection agency playing dirty pool or a scam. Don't fall for this for it's only a scare tactic to make you think you had done something wrong.
Ditto on the fake "federal agent" call. Left a voicemail but first part cut off. Very unlikely to be a collection agency or other bad things. We are Pollyannas.
Got a call from another number first (347753--20) saying I broke the law federal lawsuit or IRS or [***] like that. They done called 3 times from8012107423 I keep hitting ignore. I should have never answered the first one. But it was 7:50 am. Did think they got up this early to scam hard working people. I'll look at caller ID every time now.
