has called six times throughout the day...sometimes you can't hear them, but they wait for you to say something before talking. sounds like a call center outside of the US.
I work out of my home and these guys have been calling for at least 2 months. I estimate at least 20 times or so. Same story about the scratch card. I've done the following - hung up, said no and hung up, told them to stop calling me and hung up, told them they are not going to make any money from me (he frustrating told me he wasn't trying to sell me anything..yeah right), hung up...on and on. Very stupid way of trying to make money. I guess they think they can scam someone out of something if they keep at it. I would like to schedule an appt and waste their time, but I'm afriad they wouldn't leave unless I called the police. Reminds me of the tactics used by Prepaid Legal Services. Scam.
This is a follwup to previous post. I used Google to search down the carrier for this number. I belongs to Integra Telecom and can be reached at(888)746-2150. I spoke to a night person there and she says she will have the account rep for this number call me tomorrow. I say the more that call and complain, the more likely Integra will dump them. Unfortunately they will probably just find another carrier, but its worth a try.
Also, originally said they were not responsible for the actions of their customer, I wonder if the courts will differ on that. I told her that if she knew about the harrasing, and did nothing, then courts might decided they have some liability in it as well.
