If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

Anybody making threats of bodily harm should be reported to police. If you do make a complaint, please print out a copy of this thread and take it with you to police station.

The number is a scam, first off no government agency would call you with scare tactics, they will send a letter. Also Anyone trying to sue you or take you to court, there will be legal information available through your County court system. These people prey on people they think owe something and try to scare them by attempting to use certain terminology as if we are idiots or fools. Please don't fall for the trap! Ask them the name of their company and watch the response. If I am in trouble for not paying and supposed about to get summons to court but you want me to pay over the phone, how all of a sudden once I pay no other worries? Yeah right! Tell them to " “govern their business accordingly.”
