If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.
You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them. Tell 'em no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.
You have to get tuff with these people because, being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking). the only thing they understand.
Same as many of the other post. Just got the same call from Howard Grable stating I have a case against me that needed my immediate attention and if I didn't call them back within a certain amount of time then appropriate action will be taken. Sounded like a recording. Contacted the police, fcc, and attorney general
This guy has been calling me off and on for 5 years. Same scam message he leaves for everyone else. Guess I need to renew my call block on this loser. Will report to police and attorney general tomorrow. I'm over it.
When I called them, they said the call was for Julian Lockwood, my son-in-law. I think this all was generated by a list of those in collection for one of the big cable companies.
Have received two voice mails of an obvious recording with the same message as everyone else. Came up once as J Duriak on caller ID and the other time Mediation Services but same number both times. First clue this is a scam...you cannot ever waive your rights to mediation by simply not answering the phone and by some unidentifiable company leaving a message threatening you, and phone call is never the first contact when dealing with a possible legal matter. SCAM...do not answer the call and just block the number to stop them from bothering you.
