Caller ID displayed "Rex Phillps". This is the third unknown call from the 801-392 prefix that I've received this week, and that coincidentally happens to be my area code and prefix. The other call I received today was from 801-392-6931, and both calls were received within one hour of each other. Either the new scammer technique is to spoof the area code and prefix of where you live in the hopes that you'll think it's a local call and answer, or I've gotten A LOT of wrong numbers this week. There are only two 801-392 numbers that call me on a regular basis, and both are my neighbors whose phone numbers I recognize. These calls could be honest wrong numbers, but I seriously doubt it. What's the odds of getting two "wrong number" calls from the same area code and prefix on the same day within one hour of each other? Seems pretty damn suspicious to me!
