You will be able to hear the name of the inmate calling which a machine doesnt catch. Inmates get a one time free one minute call the first time to any phone. Drat! I'd thought I'd won more millions of dollars and BMWs in the lottery again, but no. This guy had an accent and said he was calling from Microsoft; that the pc had a virus. I said it wasn't a good time, would he leave his number so we could call back. He kept saying, "No, right now, it has to be right now."
I got a call from this number 801-410-7131. The man said - "Hello grandma". I said who is this, he replied "me". I said you have the wrong number and I hung up. He did have a slight accent.
Got called two days ago by this number. They tried the "Grandparent Scam" They identify as a member of your family. They had the first name right and said they needed money to get out of jail. When asked for a last name...and also the name of their mother they had no reply. Told them to have fun in jail. Hopefully they do catch these scam artists and put them there.
my Dad received a phone call from 1-801-410-7131--he is hard of hearing and said that some women was on the phone but that he could not understand her--I called and it was a message that said the number was out of order.
