This is a prepaid automated call from PAYTEL COMMUNICATIONS by an inmate in a city or county jail. Pastel COMMUNICATIONS is a carrier for inmates in many city and county jails and I believe state prisons. Save the number in your contacts and the next time this number CALLS, ANSWER it. You will be able to hear the name of the inmate calling which a machine doesnt catch. Inmates get a one time free one minute call the first time to any phone. At the end of the one minute it will tell you how to set up a paytel account for that inmate. The inmate can also do this with money he has on his books. Erica Dawson
Received 2 calls around10:00 pm and an automated message was left.. "For spanish press 2. To accept this call press 3. To decline this call press 0 or hang up." I do not answer unknown numbers either. Hate these calls!
Received call on my cellular today(which isn't given to anyone but family and close friends). A voice recording gave options to cancel future calls but not a real useful option. Tried to call the number from another line but a message of "number not available" answered. I blocked number, period!
This is a call from your local jail. The out of state caller ID is confusing. Not sure why it comes up from Utah which is far from where I live. Hesitated about answering but glad I did. The call was prepaid by inmate.
