Received a call from this same number (801-686-0784) 4 times today. The first two times they hung up on me. The third time I spoke to an Indian guy who told me he was from Windows Support calling about a virus on my computer. He couldn't provide any additional information on my computer. I told him he was looking to get into my computer so he could take control of it and demand money for me to gain access back. (I know how it works, happened to someone I know.) I then told him to take my phone number off the calling list and to never contact me again. I received another phone call an hour later from the same company, this time a lady, with the same BS. I told her she works for a scam, should be ashamed of herself, and to never call my number again. She said she would continue to contact me. I blocked her number through my phone provider and submitted a complaint to the FTC. DO NOT ALLOW THESE PEOPLE TO HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER.
some indian fellow with a very hard to understand accent told me he was from windows support center and that i was getting some errors with my os. I then hung up on the fellow as my version of windows is bootlegged.
I just received a call from 801-686-0784 on 9/9/14 at 3:25 PM ET. I answered and a live Indian female began to speak to me in very poor English, saying she was calling about my Windows computer. I interrupted her, thanked her for the call, and told her that I had no interest whatsoever in her product or service offering, and wished her a good day. She was still talking when I hung up on her a moment later.
I only answered the call because my Caller ID showed the number, and I used to live in Utah, and the area code for Utah I knew to be 801.
