Caller ID only shows Holladay, UT. Search on 411.com & whitepages.com say only that it is a landline from Qwest. When I called it on my cell, I got a message that the number was disconnected/out of service. When called from my landline, the greeting says: "Welcome to Triple A (AAA Motor Club). Please enter your account number or 10-digit telephone number." We had to let our AAA membership expire in May due to job cuts/lack of funds, so I assume they are trying to get us to sign back up .
We also were called and then hung up on a few times yesterday and today. The same number came up and when we called it back we got a disconnected message. Any ideas about who we contact to find out what's going on?
Web site after Web site of reported numbers, harassing folks, scammers,
phishers. You would think our phone co. that we pay to have service
would protect the consumer. There was a day way back this kind of
crap didnt happen and the phone co. would help. I logged 340 crap calls
from oct 2007 to oct 2008 and im on the do not call list. Something has
to be done
