Got a call from 802-848-7489. I didn't answer because the number was unfamiliar. I did some research and its a Vermont number. Cant really get much info on them, so i looked for other websites and found this. But i have a question. I have been receiving calls pretty much every day from a number that says unknown and doesn't have a call back number, do these "scammers" do that too?
Got yet another call from a "Warranty Services" company in Vermont. I get these calls stating that it is the "2nd and final notice that the factory warranty on your car has expired.." blah blah blah. I wait and press #1, then ask the person to remove my name from the list. Which, they then reply has been done.. which never IS done, because I keep getting these calls.
I have had calls from 802-848-7489 and 802-759-2575. I have filed a complaint with the FCC.
I am filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission immediately, and my state attorney General, Greg Abbott.
I'll file with the Georgia AG as well.
Multiple complaints will certainly draw attention to them. I sincerely recent them using my cell phone minutes - and not providing the ability to opt out. What they are doing is illegal!!
