I just got the same call and they said I have a complaint against me. :-) Said to call back with a coded number they gave me. So I called back and used *67 to block my number and it was a recording but said it would connect at the next available representative but it hung up on me. So by that I am sure it is all a scam! Be careful.
Just got off the phone with this number. For WEEKS I have been HARASSED by these people (why by the way are using another number,that uses the same voicemail). Kinda funny how the woman I spoke to,sounds IDENTICAL to the other woman who before I called back on the other number,asked for a case number,before I mentioned this was a SCAM! The other number ( 205-623-6881) kept calling me for quite a while before I ended up contacting my local sheriffs department,and the person at the sheriffs department told me these are people who steal identity. When I called this number (802-881-0607) back a woman (sounds african american) spoke to me and said that I have a breach of contract against me.When I told her its funny that the same voicemail I got from the other number is identical to the one this number left,she assured me that it was supposedly another company and that this new company has changed their number (I have caller ID,which doesn't lie with a date and time stamped on it!) When I told her I contacted the sheriff's office,she then told me a cute story of another woman who also contacted the sheriffs office and the deputy was on this scammers side (yeah right!) Look up the other number (205-623-6881) look at how many people have gotten this same recording. SCAM,SCAM,SCAM!!
I get these stupid calls weekly. Each time it's a new number but the same message. I don't know how they got my info but I keep blocking the numbers and they keep finding a new number to use to call me. I tried fighting them and scaring them with threats, but it didn't work. They've cursed me out, hung up on me, called me names, threatened me more...and while that's all illegal here in the US, I'm pretty sure these "companies" aren't operating out of the US. So they can't really be prosecuted. It's so tiring to get these messages regularly
I have had the same experiences with this number.
I reported them to the FCC because now they are calling my place of employment which is unacceptable!
It is the same nubmer as 205-623-6881.
I called and she stated is this XXX I stated no you have the wrong number because if you have a legal matter it will come thru the mail first not a freaking recording she stated this is s bill collecter I said you have the wrong number
I had the same kind of call and experiences with 3 different numbers. I am battling Colon Cancer for the past 7 months and I don't have any money to pay these people. I don't know why they do this and all of my things are in bankruptcy. Someone out there please HELP!!!
