Received a call from this number on my cell. Didn't call back from that number. Called from another business landline. Someone answered, "this is Sam. Thank you for calling me back today." I hung up. I just wanted to see if the number would be answered.
Today I got the call from them using a different phone number: 786-607-1985.
I've begun to realize that there's a group of scammers / con artists who are trying to appear to be a patrolman's fund calling for donations. They don't always call from the same phone number, but it's the same people, I feel sure. Some others noted this phone number ID'd as Patrolmans Foun(dation) BUT...
1 - my call from Patrolmans Found came from 530-535-7268
2- this call came from the ID National Patrol
3- National Patrol called me twice recently from 804-255-1079
I don't answer their phone calls because that would make it easier for them to sell my number to other scammers / telemarketers as a viable victim to call. I don't want them to make money by cheating me or by selling my phone number.
This phone number is apparently spoofed because when I dialed it from a blocked line, the phone number is disconnected. If you happen to receive a call from this phone number, and feel like doing so, ask for their website, then report them to your state Office of Attorney General's Charities division.
