Yes, a call blocker works. I have one on my land line and once the calling number is identified, all future calls from the same number ring once or twice (it has to ring for the Caller Id to activate and be recognized by the unit) the call is disconnected. Also, some cell phones (like my Samsung Note 3) can be set to reject all calls from numbers not on the calling list you make.

received unwanted call from 804-642-8078. I am on national do not call list.

This caller starts with "Hi Senors!". They seem to change their calling number frequently so call blocker didn't work for me.

I have stopped answering these calls completely.  Its seems to lessen the times they call.  Just a suggestion.
