I have a police whistle. When they start their sales pitch I say hey wait a second. and then blow the whistle in their ear and laugh until they hang up.........If they continue calling I continue blowing the whistle. When you are retired this is a source of fun....lol
This is a robo-call number, which is "spoofed" (fake) and its either the credit card services or the medical alert system robo-calls. I have been tracking for years now, but appears the same robo-call system is responsible for BOTH. Have reported dozens of times over the years to the FTC and FCC and the "do not call registry" is beyond pathetic.
If you get the Medical alert system call...TAKE THEIR ITEM!!! Order it on a good credit card with a low credit limit. I use my Citi card. I then dispute the charge and Citi takes it right off and I keep their item! This is PERFECTLY LEGAL! Simply tell the credit card company you dispute the charge based on violation of federal law for robo-calling and the item will be used as evidence in your case. You then take their item and they can do nothing without exposing who they are and face federal prosecution! :-) I have at least a dozen of these already and still waiting for them to contact me back regarding the systems I already have. If and when they do, I will be suing the living sh*t out of these a-holes!
Just keep good record of the date, time and number they used to call from. I think these are from the same source robo-call system for both the credit card services and the medical alert systems, since so many have posted each using the same "spoofed" numbers.
Lets finally put a stop to their bs and prosecute them!
