Got a call from this number today. I'm currently looking for work and expecting calls back from places I sent my resume to. Otherwise, I never pick up calls from numbers I don't recognize. Anyhow, a very nice-sounding lady said she was calling for the San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission to thank me for a donation I made to them. I HAVE NEVER MADE ANY SUCH DONATION. But I thanked her nicely back, gave her a "Bless you" and we said our good-byes. Now I'm going to block the number.
They call every morning around 9am. If I answer, no one is on the line. If I let it go to voice mail, no message is left. Looking into possibilities for area code 805, nothing even comes close to this number for any type of rescue mission. I will be reporting to the FTC for violating the national do not call registry and suggest others do the same. Enough is enough!
I have been getting calls from this number 2-4 times a day for the last week straight. Nobody is ever on the line, no messages are ever left, just dead air. The number is registered to the Rescue Mission Alliance in LA area. I will be reporting them as spammers.
