so i got the answering machine for the Wahiawa switchboard, but from all your posts it would seem more likely that it is a middle east call being routed through Hawaii? .. this number called me at like 4 am. the connection was really bad, i could make out a "hello" then "mam" but then there was a loud high-pitched tone and the call ended .. locals don't really use "mam". i do have a sister, and several friends serving in Afghanistan .. any thoughts?
I missed 4 calls from this number...after the first, i tried calling it back and it said something about honolulu so i thought i was crank call. so the next few times i didn't answer...i finally googled it and saw this page. i am very sad i missed these calls...my son is in afghanistan and I am anxious to hear from him!! a week & a half ago his "B" wife of 3 years sent divorce papers to him to be served to him in Afghan....can you believe it?!
Honey...you can not call the phone back. My advice would be to send him an email. My husband and a friend of mine are currently surving at FOB Dwyer. Depending where your boyfriend is on base he may be able to go to the MWR he may not. But whether he can go to the MWR or not they can usually check their emails. If they're able to get to the MWR then they can get on facebook and stuff, if they can't get to the MWR the other computers usually have the social networking sites blocked but they're still able to check email and stuff
