Just recd a call from this number telling my to put me on phone otherwise I will be arrested in 2 hours.
My wife threaten to call the police and hung up. We did contact the police here.
Pretty much the same. When asked the name, guy was bafflled andcgave his name as John Abaraham.
Heavy accent.I figured the call was from India and John Abaraham is an indian actor. When I put him on the spot, he hung up.
Almost same thing happen to me ....... on Feb 22, 2013 at 11.06 i received a call saying that Officer John Cruise is calling from Marshall's Office and looking for me but i pretend him that the person you looking for is not available at the moment and can you leave your name and tel # so i can pass him to call you back. he gave me the # 810 223 0563 and call to Officer John Cruise as soon as possible and have to talk urgent. after like 30 minutes i called him back and somebody pick up the phone and i ask can i talk to Officer John Cruise and he said yes i'm speaking and i'm the Officer John Cruise and he said my name and are you bla.... bla ...then i said yes and he said i have three criminals charges against me including IRS and banking and something like that in his office and i have to solve these problems immediately, otherwise i will be arrested immediately and chances of revoke my citizenship too. i asked him to verify his ID and written information to me then he lost and later on hang the phone . i'm pretty sure the first guy and the second guy who pick up my call looks different person . the first guy looks like native english as his accent and second person should be Indian and i'm pretty sure he lost his accent in the course of our short conversation between us. i redailed the # yesterday and today to but nobody received the call and said leave the voice massage but later on can't receive voice masage coz full.....so i'm thinking to report local police.
Bunch of crooks. They called couple of times and had no info for me other than saying they are investigating a fraud. The next time they call, I am going to tell them that the local police is tracing their call and I am reporting fraud against them.
Completely ignore them - they are jobless individuals looking for free money.
