Thanks for confirming my thoughts about the call I received, also from this number. When I ask "which computer?" or if they're calling from Microsoft (they only say they're calling about Windows), of course they cannot give an answer. My caller ID said Riberts, Lakendr for this call.
When I get a call from these guys..i pretend to go along with the scam..however I stand in my kitchen and then tell them my computor crashed and sit my phone on the counter..and walk away.. then block the call.. they must enjoy the game because they always call from a different number.. ;^)
He said "Ma'am, I am calling about your windows. I told him that I already have windows and asked him how he got my phone number. He would never answer the question but I could hear other voices in the background. It sounded like he was in a room full of people, likely other scammers. He proceeded to explain that it was my computer he was calling about. I told him that I don't have a computer (wrong), and I again asked him how he got my phone number. At that point he hung up on me.
