Latest "MICROSOFT" SCAM call, claiming to have detected a 'virus' on your computer and wanting your IP address to 'fix' it, remotely.
The only thing these INDIAN/PAKISTANI/MIDDLE EASTERN SCUMBAGS will 'fix' is your BANK ACCT, when they RANSOM your computer files back to you - and access all your banking info to CLEAN you OUT.
**VERY DANGEROUS** SCAM. HANG UP, BLOCK, REPORT.
CALL TYPE: CRIMINAL THIEVES/SCAMMERS
Caller: Only "MICHIGAN" on Caller ID
Called Sept. 4, 2015 @12:38 CDT. I was at work and left cell phone at home so call just showed up on my cell log. Since no VM was left, I don't know who it was. This is a Michigan area code and I know nobody in Michigan so I wouldn't have answered the call anyhow. [I get plenty of spammy calls from weird area codes.]
I've got you beat....got a call from this number at 5:10 a.m. After pulling my heart out of my throat from panic at the thought of one of my elderly relatives dieing in the middle of the night, I jumped up to answer it but was too late. The caller ID just shows Michigan but when I do a reverse search on the # it shows it's registered to a Kevin Currie from Michigan.
I received a call from this number at 4:17 AM CST this morning! Whomever it is woke me out of my sleep, I didn't answer. I have received 4 calls from this number over the past month. I called the number back and received the message that the number is disconnected. According to Whitepages.com it's registered to a Lakendri Roberts. I have just filed a complaint with the FCC.
