I had them call me today. They were quite polite... When you don't speak English to them. I ALWAYS answer the phone from a number I don't know in Spanish. Hell, my Spanish sucks too, any High School first year Spanish class student is better than me; But that's besides the point here. I always answer the phone with a 'Hola' and say nothing more. Let them do the talking. All you need to know is two more words, 'No' and 'Si'. They figure it out real quick that you don't speak their language(those racist b@stards!) and quickly hang up.
Get a life. These people continually call all hours of the day. They are a pain in the neck. Anyone who supports them is a parasite too. So go stand in the middle of the freeway and wait for someone to put you out of our misery.
Interesting concept for a research company - let's constantly call people and not leave any sort of call back message or contact information. This way we can charge our client more for each "completed call" (an answering machine pick up is an answered call) until we actually speak to someone who either does or does not participate in the "survey".
The research company could easily configure their robo dialer software to leave only a certain number of messages (or a certain number of unanswered tries) until the number is put into a "no response" list and removed from the robo dialer queue.
The research company could also configure their robo dialer software to never dial a number again (once requested by the recipient) AND they can make their clients aware that if a number provided to them is on their "no more calls" list, they will honor the number owner request and not call.
Like many people, I do not answer unsolicited phone calls - leave a message and if I'm interested I will return the call. Otherwise a legitimate company (not sure about this company) gets the rap as a scam artist or telemarketer.
Remember, just because you wrote something about the company on the internet does not mean it's true or right (that comment is in response to those who defend this company - we don't know you - you could be paid to say good things about them - how am I to know since I do not know you).
Obviously, you are not getting hounded & called by this company. Telemarketers OR market researchers are clearly harrassing people by calling several time and not leaving a message, as to their business.
