A lady called asking for my oldest son. I replied that he is not home, and asked if I can take a message for him. She said she is calling from American General, and it's personal matter. Then she hung up.
It's AG, the most anoying group of people in the universe. Loan sharks with suspicious activities, more like a horror movie team of zombies that will not let you live the rest of your days in peace. These calls must stop...I have already started cleaning my AK...
They call and ask for me by name, but leave no msg if I'm not available. I recently purchased furniture from American Mattress and American General is the financing co. If they can't leave a msg, I don't know what they want.
This is from American Gen. Financial. I financed a purchase through them and even before I got the paperwork for that deal I started getting calls from there telemarketers to combine my other loans to roll into one with them. They were bummed to learn I had no other debt.
American General also does personal loans, car loans, etc. Any vendor with whom you have done business is IMMUNE from the standard no not call lists. Read the fine print and you'll note that ALL do not call registries say that if you have been a customer, you can STILL be contacted by the merchant for at least 6 months, and under circumstances, up to 12 months (especially if YOU have called them back, even just to [***] about their annoying calls, so calling THEM can actually be their defense to continue to call you!). Sucks, but not illegal or actionable. Your best defense, especially for people like me who only have a cell phone and are sick of these predators wasting our minutes, is to use your cell's call blocking. Check your settings under CALLS and you should be able to type in numbers to be automatically rejected (at least with most newer phones). If this doesn't work, contact your provider and see if they can assist with blocking the repetitive number(s).
I am so sick of this number coming up on my caller id 3 or 4 times a day. I am very busy running an in home busines and I run to my phone, to find there is no one there and then after a minute or so I get someone asking for my husband ,, I tell them he is not home during the day... they keep calling me anyway.. I have asked them not to call back several times unless there is a problem with our loan account.. they say no they are just offering us whatever.. I went off on them today and told them to stop calling 10 times a day .. it's annoying.. after looking at this site I called them to be put on their do not call list.
