Received a call from Deputy Turner from LA county sheriffs dept. asking for my boss. Let him know he wasn't available. Someone different called back a second time from the same number saying one of his deputies left a message already and they really needed to contact my boss. They kept telling me to call the office at the above number. It comes up as a cell phone which is what made me suspicious in the first place, that and they wouldn't call his work for a personal matter. Had a third call from a third person on an Ohio cell (513-218-7115) letting me know if they don't speak with my boss they would be issuing a warrant. Asked him why his phone comes up as an Ohio cell number that's attached to scams if he's calling from the LA sheriff's dept? He got mad and I hung up. Now I'm calling the real LA police dept.
We got a voicemail from Sgt Kevin Sizemore from LA County Sherrif's Warrants & Citations, saying to call right away. I was suspicious and did not call back, instead looking on the Internet. Looks like this is a scam! Beware! This guy has been scamming people by pretending to be from the Warrants & Citations dept.
Sgt Sizemore from L.A. Sherriff's department phoned me at home and left message. I called back and he asked for my number to call me next day. When he called next day, he said I owed $2,000 for a bail bond. My co-workers overheard the conversation and we're saying "its a scam' and that's when Sizemore said he had to go....shady!
This is a total scam. Noone will ever call from the court, the probation department or almost any government agency and ask for money. They will, if anything, write or have a person come to the door if the "crime" is serious enough. The LA County Sherriff's Warrants & Citations division may or may not exist but they would not call and ask for money. In addition, any claim, as was made in the case of which I am familiar, that the Sheriff's department was investigating the Post Office is a Sham. The responsibility for such an investigation lies in the federal law enforcement agencies and they, for sure, would not ask for money.
