Received a call from Deputy Turner from LA county sheriffs dept. asking for my boss. Let him know he wasn't available. Someone different called back a second time from the same number saying one of his deputies left a message already and they really needed to contact my boss. They kept telling me to call the office at the above number. It comes up as a cell phone which is what made me suspicious in the first place, that and they wouldn't call his work for a personal matter. Had a third call from a third person on an Ohio cell (513-218-7115) letting me know if they don't speak with my boss they would be issuing a warrant. Asked him why his phone comes up as an Ohio cell number that's attached to scams if he's calling from the LA sheriff's dept? He got mad and I hung up. Now I'm calling the real LA police dept.

The same thing happened to me. Sergeant Kevin Sizemore badge number 7311 (who I googled and is a cop on NCIS) called my home and told me there was a warrant out for my husband's arrest. Said he needed a bail bond for $2,000 immediately or my husband would be arrested, for failing to turn up for Jury duty. We aren't even American citizens & therefore aren't eligible to serve on a jury, but he claimed it was an admin error, and we would be given the money back after the matter was resolved. I immediately called the LAPD and they told me it was a complete scam. And advised me to file a complaint. Do not fall for this scam.
