Called with a blocked number, "No Caller ID". Didn't answer. A woman left a very scripted voicemail saying that she was calling from FTS (STS?) to set up a delivery for a legal document, that there was a REFUSAL TO SIGN ON MY BEHALF, and in order to AVOID FURTHER LEGAL SERVICES I HAD EXACTLY TWO HOURS TO RESPOND.
1. No one can sign "on your behalf" unless you've given them power of attorney, and
2. There's no way you can be held liable because someone "refused to sign on your behalf", or
3. There is never a circumstance where you are obligated to sign on someone else's behalf lest they face a penalty, also
4. You can't be given a deadline to respond or face legal action over a voicemail-there's no way for them to know if you'll hear the voicemail in time-ESPECIALLY IN TWO HOURS!
5. If they were a real company, they wouldn't hide behind some made up acronym.
There's a huge list of numbers out of this 818-208 prefix that are being reported as scams!
I received the same call with the same information. I think it's a scam because there was nothing sent in writing or any notice of trying to get in contact with me.
"Michael" called saying I was subpoenaed to appear in court and being sued for an unpaid debt that I never owed. Beware of this scammer!!! Fraudulent and Dangerous! Was very rude and had all of my personal information.
