I wish there were a device that I could attach to each phone in our household so that when a telemarketer calls to invade my privacy that I would press a button to make a charge to th5rough the line to the caller or its robo caller and demolish it.  I am sick to death of having calls from Card Member Services which has called olur household for five years, first on the home phone for years, then, after the U. S. Chamber of Commerce got the law changed so that telemarketers could get lists of cellphone owners' phone numbers, then, the calls began coming on in our cellphones.  THEY NEVER GIVE UP ALTHOUGH WE DON'T ANSWER.  All they do is uxe one phone number for some time, they change it, hoping to catch someone who answers the hone.  The call comes in as TOLL FREE CALLER.  Is that supposed to make me answer the phone quuickly?    Having me use my time to keep track of all the senseless calls, type a letter of complaint showing time of call, date, etc., then filing away my letter in the deep underground of Washington benefits no one.  What good is a law if it is not enforceable?  The above number, 830-250-4569 calls at least three times a day seven days a week.  I never buy anything over the phone, at my front door or by catalog.  WHY HASN'T THE FTC AND FCC DONE THEIR JOBS?  Our world is frought with paranahas who want to rip you off no matter how.  Usually, there is a greedy CEO at the bottom of bevery bad money deal.  I detest them with a passion.  We woluldn't want them flying around in last year's jet, now, would we?  I have numerous stories about fraud and there is a lot done by doctors and hospitals.  One ripped off Medicare by $17,000.00 but does nothing to correct the problem.  The federal government has a mantra, "Waste, waste, spend, spend, that taxpayer money will always roll in.  How about Cheney's contracting company building a very high-tech prison in Iraq costing taxpayers billuions of dollars but not one prisoner has ever occupied it?  Gues it is now bieng used by ISIS, the terrorists.  Oh, I used that bad word.  Obama doesn't want them labeled as such.  He made Eric Holder force the FBI to never refer to ISIS or any terrorists as such.  They are "militants."   Wouldn't want to offend them, you know.
WHY ARE WORKERS AT THE FTC AND FCC COLLECTING PAYCHEKS BUT DO NOTHING ABOUT TELEMARKETING CALLS TO CITIZENS WHO HAVE ALL THEIR PHONES REGISTERED WITH THE DO NOT CALL LIST?  INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW, ESPECIALLY THIS ONE.

I have been receiving calls from different numbers with the same message that my credit card rate is about to go up but they can bring it down to some low rate.  I have tried talking to their reps, they REFUSE to give me the name of their company and blocking their calls is impossible because they use different numbers all the time.  I feel it's a scam because they refuse to answer legit questions

Rachel from Cardholder Services robo-call scam.

Maybe now that the Republicans control Congress, they'll actually put some pressure on these scammers. Yeah, I don't believe it either.
