I keep getting calls from them too!!! I finally answered, after their thousandth call, but they just hung up. This is some serious bull and I'm tempted to go postal on them.
Funny, I just received another call from them (American Health Advantage which displays as Carrizo Spri TX). The phone rang several times before I could get to it so I answered without seeing who it was. After a few seconds of dead air a gentleman came on introducing himself as working with American Health Advantage and he was calling to let me know the application I submitted for insurance - medical, dental, vision - "had just been approved". Yeah! Only problem is...I never applied for anything. I simply stated that "I'm not interested." to which there was a long pause. I was waiting for him to say something and acknowledge my response so I could then ask to be removed from the list. Still silence, so I took a look at the phone screen where it showed my call had ended. Like others on this site, he had simply hung up on me as soon as I expressed a lack of interest.
Let this rudeness and interpretation of 'customer service' serve as a warning to anyone that may have actually filled out an application for them, or who is in the market and just happens to get contacted by American Health Advantage (aka Carrizo Spr TX on caller-id) and is considering ANYTHING they have to offer. My advice...STAY AWAY!
You are correct, this number is associated with an insurance company in Texas. I finally got a live person, told them to stop calling, I was not interested in insurance from another state. He is a web browser looking for customers who are looking into health insurance in their own states. Apparently he does not understand each state has different rates, options and insurance plans. Big waste of our time and his. What a leech!!!! He actually accused me of wanting him to call our number nonstop for weeks on end. Reporting the Better Business Bureau!
