old debt after 6 years depending on the state it could 4 years, they can not collect the old debt, that is the law in your state, after 7 years they can not put on your credit report as per FTC laws. They can not force you to pay anything that is called the statue of limitation, if anyone calls you about an old debt, all you have to tell them is "you have no idea what they are talking about" and no matter what they say keep repeating the statement, they will hang up. If you get a letter in the mail put in the trash can. They have no legal rights to collect the old debt that is passed the statue of limitation.
Just got a call from these people about a 15 year old debt. They had a lot of personal financial information which I thought was against the law. They were also rude. The phone call was statically and hard to understand
Latest scam is you get message from a friend telling you that he got $100,000 from Mark Zuckerberg and all you need to do is text to this number to see if you won, also. Of course you did so all you need to do is text them your personal info!
