When you "win" something, by law it is free. And by free I mean totally free. You never have to pay anything. That "port" tax is a well used scam among these alleged cruise lines con artists.
My call too was accidental. A Detroit number has been calling me for a week and I find the line is dead. I called back today and suddenly learned that I was a lucky 5th caller to a radio station. The guy who came on the line remarked that the caller id didn't show me so I must be really lucky given the timing of the errant forward. They'll only need $59 to set me up with cruise registration. It took him 3 minutes. If he takes one minute between winners that's 15 callers an hour. $59 each that's $885 per hour for each phone. Set up some bogus cruise phone and web stuff and they're doing pretty well.
I miss dialed a 707 area code number and said I was caller 15 and won a trip to the Bahamas all I had to do was go online to the will call and follow instructions. It was a recording. Scam scam scam
