FTP - No idea who they are or what they do....but they are not calling for any legit reason, its a cold call.
An EXTREMELY rude and whiny (it was almost comical) lady called today and asked for John. We have (withing the C-Level alone) 6 Johns. I asked which John she needed.
"Well, the owner of the company."
Red Flag #1 - She doesn't know who she is calling. I answer the phone for a holding company, so there are at least 8 different "owners".
I told her I answer the phone for several companies, and asked her which one was she referring to?
Red Flag #2 - She SLAUGHTERED the name of the company (it's phonetic, and not hard at all), which usually means she has no legit business.
She did the same thing to me. I kept asking who it was and all she kept saying was Is the owner available again and again. I just told her to take us off her list and hung up. Really rude.
We have 2 lines here. They usually call on line 1 and I ask them to please not call back. As soon as I hang up the phone, line 2 will ring and we go through it all over again. I have asked over and over again for them to not call back. I keep getting call from Downers Grove, IL - number 630-869-1361. Both numbers ask for the business owner. When I tell them the owner is not here, they will either hang up, tell me they will call again another time or ask me for the business owner's name. When they ask for the owner's name, I tell them if they don't know the owner's name, then they obviously don't have any business calling here to try and solicit some bogus stuff.
