They hung up the first time I answered then called back wanted to speak with whoever was in charge of purchasing products for our manufacturing machines I asked him what products, he said he was not selling anything just wanted to ask some questions I told him we don't participate in over the phone research and he said because it's against company policy and I said yes it is. Then I kicked myself as I never answer anyone's questions with a "yes" because they may be recording me and used that against me to their advantage. I think they're wising up so they are rephrasing their questions to elicit a yes response.
I still don't get it. I got a call and just let it go to voicemail. I read the above comments, looked up their website and still don't understand why they would ever contact me. I don't live in Jersey and I don't ever do surveys or answer questions over the phone to people or companies I've never done business with. It just doesn't make much sense. What I do in situations like this is I keep them in my cellphone contact list and name them telemarketer or whatever the company name may be. When and if they call me again, then at least I know that I've identified them and know better than to answer the phone and waste my time. Really, it works really well for me. Just a suggestion.
Apparently not. I am not defending them as they are annoying to me also. But they claim to be
a market research company as opposed to a telemarketing company. Therefore they are exempt from
the Federal government's Do not call laws.
Was away on business for 2 weeks, have 23 calls on my caller ID from these people. Called back and used option to reach supervisor - they said they are not selling anything and refused to add my number to their do not call list ad hung up. Added number to my call block.
They have been calling multiple times every day - even after 9 PM and never leave a message. I called and spoke to a supervisor (very rude) who refused to add my number to the do not call list - stated "we are not selling anything and the DNC does not apply to research phone calls, we are allowed to call any number we wish" and then hung up.
I blocked the number this morning and just checked my call log on line - I have 47 consecutive calls from this number between 2:21 PM and 2:35 PM...this is outright harassment.
I will file a complaint with the FTC and send a copy of the phone logs.
received 21 consecutive calls this morning starting at 9:23 AM. Called again, tried all options can not get a human and all mailboxes are full - it's almost time to take a trip to Cherry Hill, NJ.
