This call shows as "operator" and the phone number. They have been calling daily. My husband is sick and needs to sleep...so today I answered and heard " this is Jay, from something energy company." I asked to be removed, he argued with me, I argued back and he swore and hung up. Really, do they think I would do business with them?
Male voice asked to speak to my housemate whose name is on the phone listing. I said she wasn't in; he asked if there was a Mr. Housemate. (Mr. Housemate has been dead for over fifteen years.) He said he'd call back later, gave his name as "Tim". I pointedly said, "Tim from ...?" He answered "Solar" something, but (apparently deliberately) hung up as he was speaking.
Got a call this morning from these [***]. I asked, "Do we have an existing business relationship with you?" And the clown answered, sarcastically, "I think we both know the answer to that." So they don't even have the excuse of not knowing better. And I got the customary cussing out and "it's not illegal, it's not illegal" when I told them they were breaking the law. Why can't the FTC shut them down?
