They called , but its seems as if they are a legit company doing a Home Security systems . I got my system installed for around 34$/month , very nice system and good price.
These people called me again today. Decided to turn the tables on them....
I listened to the robo-voice, and was able to get through to a "customer service agent". I told her that I WAS interested, but could she please tell me where she is calling FROM. (My caller ID said Somerville, MA). She immediately hung up on me.
Being the proactive [***] that I am, I called back! ;-)
This time I spoke to Alisha. She said she was a supervisor. I asked her NOT to hang up, because I had a few questions. To my surprise, she stayed on the line! I told her about my first encounter, and she was quite apologetic. I asked her AGAIN, where she was located. She said Winston-Salem, N.C. She had no answer as to why the callerID said Massachusetts.
I played along as if I was interested. BUT, I asked for the company name. She told me USA Security Solutions. I asked if there was any info she could send me, and she said no. However, she gave me their "website". www.usasecuritypromotions.com. This is a safe link.
There is NOTHING on the website in the way of a name, phone number, etc; just how to buy their "system".
SO, if you call them back, and PLEASE do, ask for Alisha! I wasted 28 minutes of her time! It's LOADS of fun!
This number called me 11 times today I picked it up and told them that if they call again I am calling the police. I hope this will put a stop to them calling me.
7 calls today between 12:50 and 5:01 PM, 20 total since I blocked this number on 8/26. Only reason I saw this was that I was surprised to see "8 missed calls" on my cell phone and checked my call blocker log. (The other was from 240-318-1522, another home security robocaller.)
Guess it's a lot to expect these morons (or the sub-morons they've contracted with) to be able to configure their robodialer, haha.
