I received a call about 8:50am. Twice, in a rude tone of voice, a woman asked if my husband was home. I said, "No" both times. When I asked if I could take a message, she hung up. Caller ID said "Childrens Canc".
Caught me off guard tonight as I had just got a call from my daughter using her friends phone and expected it to be her, they called me by my first name too and then asked if they could send a commitment card for 20$. When I explained I was in a tight financial situation she insisted on 15, I explained she can certainly send me the info to look over and she stated she needs a "commitment" to send the info. When I stated I'm not committing to anything, she replied back with, "Well judging by the tone of your voice".....and sounded a little rude and abruptly ended the call, I wasn't being rude, I was being straight forward, and after that and looking up there complaints, I would never give them a cent.
I just got a call from (857) 776-3089 a few minutes ago. I have a commercial telephone system here. I switched on the monitor and heard my auto attendant greeting playing. The caller disconnected during the greeting.
Many telemarketers use predictive dialers. I do not think that these devices are able to negotiate an auto attendant.
