I keep getting voicemails from this Mark Schaffer about a law case against me. One time I picked up the call and was transferred to a lady asking what did I want. I replied "you tell me. you guys keep on calling me". she was quite rude and said who do you mean you guys? I knew this was a scam. How do you make these calls stop? I get around 4-5 per day from these folks.
Quite easily. Try not answering in any way and be patient. Call blocker or app may be of some help, too. Not answering at all costs nothing and eventually gets the callers disgusted. Some kind of answer on your end could make them think if they can come up with something 'frightening' enough, you'll take the calls. If they can't dish out bogus threats, they've got one less participant. Mark Schaffer can't threaten anyone if nobody's taking his calls.
Told me I owed for a payday loan $300-$1500. Owed $2,5000 now but could pay $790 out of court. They had ALOT of my information. So I put a credit alert on my social security number. I also called them back and told them I was reporting them.
