I keep getting calls, I have answered, but never push 1. I looked at the area code, and know it's from Lexington, as I live here in KY. When I decided to search the number, they have themselves in Kansas on Google. Well, there's your first clue this isn't a legitimate company. They have now started calling my house phone, but they can keep calling, we won't answer and they are on block on my cell phone. These scammers need to go else where. What ever you do, DO NOT give them ANY INFORMATION! They do not have all your information and are fishing and praying on those who will give in to them. Don't let them scare you, don't give them a dime!
I have been getting this exact same call for the past couple days from mark Schafer. Today I decided enough was enough and answered. Upon answering I was forwarded to a nice lady, after asking several questions about who this company was and why they were calling the info I got out of her was first the name, birthdate last 4 ss# of a lady that I guess had my phone number several years ago and then my name, birthdate, and last 4. Apparently myself and this other lady owe the exact same amount to the exact same company. Oh and we have both had the same phone number at some point in our lives. Long story short after being hung up on 4 times just because I was asking questions about who it was I was supposed to have owed money to and the dates in which the loan was taken out I finally had enough and lost my temper a little bit. Speaking with the last gentleman who was supposed to be a supervisor ( after being told by the previous 3 people that they didn't have any male supervisors on staff ) I asked for their mailing address and contact info and was denied that info. I again argued with this guy for several minutes because I was pissed that these people keep calling me with these open ended threats so it was time to give the threats right back. You say I owe someone money but don't want to give me any information on that then " Yes " let's take this shot to court and we can settle it then. After that I was hung up on again for the fourth and final time. Be aware everyone!! Don't let the threats suck you in to their demands. Hang up or don't answer. Block them whatever. I'm curious if them maggots are going to call me again. Have a great day everyone. Thanks for listening.
Got a voicemail from Mark Shaeffer from Mediation Services. I have the exact same message as everyone else but he fails to even say who the message is for. He calls daily and it is annoying. I do know however, who ever he is his tactics are ILLEGAL (threaten to take action that isn’t intended or can’t be taken). What I will say is this ALWAYS get verification in writing, NEVER volunteer information over the phone.
